Hey Free Rangers,

When wholly awash in the streams of story, one can be deeply tempted to not bother reaching out for a hold. It’s nice in there; somehow comfortably cool and wholesomely warm at the same time. But open duties at the shop today became impetus enough apparently to scoop up a pocketful of words for this moment in this space, even if commitment was offered to no definable concept. Looming large over the ocean are words that seem to be friends with one another, even if they don’t know why. They didn’t ask to be there, or to be at all, but none involved are unhappy about where they find themselves. So, now that I’ve thrown the scent for the sale seekers and we’re speaking here just amongst the readers (Friends of Words), please feel free to forward these notes to whomever you think will enjoy, whether or not they intend to actually shop here, even if they’ve never imbibed a single splash of the naughty water. Words need friends too. We’ll begin again down this road from the flipside- maybe next time- and address the Friend of a Friend Problem, whose proximous juxtaposition will reveal as apparent (when we get there). But that’s a big one, and there is business to discuss. And as always, please continue reading for the sale(s) and tasting(s) below, if you feel like it. Thanks!

So, our buddy Scott Sampler is back in town and we’re absolutely thrilled to host and have him pour you a(t least a) trio of his otherworldly wines. Yeah, he’s the guy who makes all the Scotty BoyL’Arge d’Oor, and Central Coast Group Project wines. It’s difficult to believe that if you’re reading this you remain unfamiliar with his stuff as we’ve carried so many of his wines since first tasting in the Before Times. Regardless, here’s your opportunity to taste with and hear from the man himself. Tomorrow, WednesdayApril 24th (5-7pm), Scott will be pouring you FREE tastes of his Scotty Boy Uno Numero 2021, a fully funky and food friendly skin contact white, L’Arge d’Oor Grenache 2018, a paradoxically spritely red of wealth and taste, and CCGP Purple Pyramid Syrah 2014 which is as deep purple as it sounds. You won’t want to miss this one.

As an added bonus, we’re offering 10% off ALL and 20% off 6+ (mix & match) on all available (in-stock and en route) Scotty BoyL’Arge d’Oor, and Central Coast Group Project wines! Check out the sale page below:

Then, on Saturday, we’re hosting a release party and tasting for our latest exclusive Kings Co release! Our dear friend, Gaby, will be here in the shop pouring FREE tastes of our fresh outta the barrel Kings Co Free Range Cask Strength Single Barrel 6yr Bourbon (FR14) alongside Kings Co regular Bourbon releases. The full story is a little complicated, so I’ll just let Gaby explain it to you when she’s here, but the important part is that it’s big, bold, delicious, and well within what fans know as that classic Kings Co style. Our 14th barrel pick with our friends and neighbors at Kings Co is available in 200ml and 750ml, and clocks in at 131 proof, which we generally take with firm splash of water (or an extra ice cube, if you prefer your water in solid form). So, SaturdayApril 27th (5-7pm), come taste and talk Brooklyn Bourbon with us!

All of the above will be available @ (at least) 10% off on tasting day, and as always, this list will get a link with the best price that ever will be, but the juice just landed and we’re still doing some math, and getting the bottles into the system. Stay tuned to this space for more!

Cheers,

Jack
