Well Free Rangers,

According to the calendar, today is our 11th Anniversary. I mean it’s not right now, as I type this at my office (French Louie) in the waning brunching hour (nor now while editing in the night), but it is right now as you’re reading this, very likely, unless you don’t get to your e-mail every day, or you’re out of the office, or our MonkeyMail got filtered out with the spam dram. Regardless, thanks to everybody who has had any part in our 11 years here on Atlantic Ave, and most of all to those reading these words here with us today! Cheers to us, every one. Thanks also to those who joined us for a rare Saturday in-store tasting last week, when we were pouring some fairly serious(ly delicious) chardonnay. Many more tastings, events, and sales on the immediate horizon, and straight on ’til morning, so stay tuned to this space.

As part of our anniversary celebration, Derek just finished building our Anniversary Whiskey Sale Page on which there are some crazy rare bottles, all of which are very strictly one bottle each per household for in-store pick-up or local delivery only! We will gladly hold your purchase(s) for up to a year, but no shenanigans will be humored on these irreplaceable rarities: no picking up for multiple people, no second bottle for your cousin in Des Moines (you’ll just have to share yours when they visit). Of course, said cousin is more than welcome to purchase their own bottle during the sale, and come pick it up when they’re in town. So maybe your cousin does get their own bottle, but they should also share with you, which is only fair. All that said, the sale page features a handful of long sold out Free Range exclusives from Kings CoBreuckelen, and Four Roses, as well as roll back the clock pricing on old stalwarts such as Blanton’s BourbonPikesville RyeSt George Single MaltBooker’s BourbonWillett 4yr Rye, and Eagle Rare 10yr in 1.75L. Did we forget to mention lowest prices of the year on Woodford Reserve Batch ProofGeorge Dickel 17yrHigh West Cask Strength Bourbon, and Weller CYPB? Not even sure from whence these Michter’s Barrel Strength Rye (2019) resurfaced, but they are immaculate and also available right now!

Also, this ThursdayApril 18th (5-7pm) we’re hosting a FREE in-store tasting is with upstate upstart C. Cassis who make very good, not very sweet, lightly fermented, blackcurrant liqueur, and an unreasonably crushable single serving Cassis Spritz from said liqueur. You should come try them, and enjoy 10% off all C. Cassis products on tasting day!

Cheers (really),
