Chateau Maris, located in the hills above La Liviniere in Minervois, is the joint project of Robert Eden, a biodynamic winemaker, and Kevin Parker, CEO of Green Partners; begun fifteen years ago, it is now a 79-acre estate certified as both biodynamic and organic. In accordance with the pair’s philosophy, the new 9,000-foot-square winery and cellar that houses all the winery’s operations is made entirely of hemp. Their rose is 100% Grenache from vines planted in 1959; it is dry, crisp, lively, and refreshing . . . and conveniently packaged in BPA-free cans to grab and take anywhere.
