If it’s true that uncertainty is an unsustainable state, then Schrödinger’s cat has nothing on me. Though I am most decidedly alive, and verifiably measurable as such. So, here’s a poem I wrote while tasting Eyrie Pinot Noir South Block 1987 the other night:
Holy cr@p, this is gorgeous juice.
Unfathomably alive.
Historically significant American #wine.
Bottled art and time.
What is gained from its inanimate wisdom is humbling.
Crushing.
#gratitude
Now, let’s talk about how great 375ml bottles, aka 1/2 bottles, of wine are. This format should yield you about 2.5 dinner glasses, or 4-6 tasting glasses. I’ve always loved keeping halfies around because it’s a nice option for a solo mission, an extra glass each for two people, or to have the excuse to open a few of them for side-by-side tasting with minimal waste. This week’s ONLINE ONLY sale has some great opportunities for comparative tasting, as an eclectic selection of our .375s are on sale!
The more you buy, the deeper the discount.
Click the link below to see the full list, but highlights include 3 vintages of Lebanon’s greatest export, Chateau Musar, both Bethel Heights Oregon Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, and a number of classic Ridge Vineyards offerings (Lytton Springs, Geyserville, and Estate Cab) going back to 2013. You’ll also find the full line of Grgich (Cab, Chard, Zin, Merlot), and our go-to Chianti and Rioja, and a handful of insanely rare dessert wines!
