Any writer who tells you they’re not ready to show their work should just go and do something else (and/or stick to journaling). As a once full-time professional writer, photographer, and editor, it brings me endless satisfaction that any of you bother to read these notes at all, without skipping straight to the sale at the end. Thanks for that. Writing is a passive aggressive act. We hide out in our dark safe places (though some are better lit than others), braise in our ruminations, scratch them into prose, and if we’re lucky, leave them somewhere that others may find them and consume our moments and images for themselves.
