We should have some fun new developments to explore as we approach our tenth anniversary here on Atlantic Ave. I certainly don’t want to jinx anything, but we’ve seen lots of new faces who seem to be coming back around in reasonably short order and we’re a bit less besieged by the whims of demanding tourists and other clueless transient one-timers that have so pock-marked our end of year scene since the first wave of numbered viruses descended roughly three years back. But here in the short term, we have one of our favorite reoccurring announcements to relay. We are proud to present two new Free Range exclusive single barrel whiskeys from our friends at Kings Co Distillery; our 11th and 12th barrels from them. And as always, you get first crack at these bottles, at the best price(s) they will be offered. Both new barrel picks were bottled from 15 gallon barrels rested for over 6 years, one at standard 90 proof, and one at its natural barrel strength, clocking in at just over 140 proof (yes, Hazmat Proof, if you must). We chose what became Kings Co Barrel Strength 6yr Bourbon FR11 for its bold flavors and deeply woody finish, and while you’re always welcome to take them as you please, we tend to enjoy this one with a measure of water added. We selected what is now Kings Co 6yr Bourbon FR12 for its balance and what has become the classic Kings Co Bourbon profile. These folks are making some of the most classic KY style bourbons ever to be produced outside the Bluegrass State, and we’re quite proud of our long history with them. Both releases are available in 200ml and 750ml, and there is a 3 bottle limit for each, per customer. And while we’re at it, we’ve re-posted our back catalog of Kings Co releases at sale pricing, many of which are long sold out and are unavailable anywhere else in the world. We’ve done our best to make sure inventory is accurate but the connection between our in-shop POS and our online web inventory is not the hardline we would like, so please go easy on us if you grab an item that shows only 1 or 2 remaining while we do our damnedest to put hands on said bottles for you.
