Dammit Free Rangers,

I missed a week. But this one is in your mailbox on Monday, so let’s start fresh. Speaking of which, Amex just reversed a previous decision to let a (first time, Manhattan) customer pull payment for wine which was never returned (aka theft). We have a no returns policy (especially on wine, in the summer), but had offered such to this particularly vitriolic individual as a gesture of de-escalation. She chose to outright steal from us, and Amex gave us the money back, in a gloriously low percentage outcome. As I’m not one to jump a gift shark in the mouth, we’ll gladly take the moral victory (and the $).

This same incident brings us a stark example of the relativity of personal truth. The Barolo at the center of the above controversy was said to be “the whole case is corked” and “worse than vinegar” by our new friend, Donna. An unrelated in-store customer who really wanted to tell us how much they didn’t like another recommended bottle, only came back for this same Barolo. Beauty is in the eye of the hurricane.

So for this week, Derek put together sale packs of our favorite canned wine and single serving cocktails, starting at 10% off, and increasing by volume: 15% off 2 sets20% off 4 sets!

Our Can Has Wine set includes 8 cans: OrangeRedPink, and Pink Bubbles from Mad Med (France); BlancRosé, and Bubbles by Brick & Mortar (CA), and Bushido Sake. Our Can Has Cocktails set includes 8 single servings: Empirical Spirits Can 1 and Can 2Social Hour’s Yuzu Sunset Fizz and Dickel Bourbon Smash, St Agrestis Negroni and SpritzGreenhook Ginsmiths G&T, and C Cassis CC Spritz. Throw ‘em in the fridge door for grab n go fun, or dump ‘em all in a bucket of ice for a party starter. Click the link below to secure your sets!

And that’s not all! Fresh from the cellar, we also have a 6-pack of Pinot Noir to offer you- all around 10 years since harvest– at a serious discount. We just finished tasting through these cases and all bottles involved are well into peak drinking, though most clearly have at least another decade of (properly stored) life ahead. The 6-pack includes 2 x 2012 OR Pinots (one from Shea Vineyard!), 2 x 2013 CA Pinots, and 2 x delicious 2014 Pinots; one CA and one classic Burgundy. I just don’t see anybody else offering you properly aged Pinot anywhere near this price. You can’t fake bottle age, and this is a lovely assemblage of occasion bottles much closer to everyday price. Click below to check ‘em out!
