Whoa Free Rangers,
Oh the tales could be spun had more REM cycles occurred to this weary cranium, and fewer gremlins were in fevered pursuit on this trail. While Derek’s heroic efforts to keep this unruly beast tuned to a single metronome have been noteworthy, this communication comes at least two days beyond expiration, and perhaps that train has sailed. What day is this… man? As Father Time slaps the posterior of the inverted Baby New Year, reverberating through the infinite intersecting wormholes of this multiverse, this reality pulses with ecumenical uncertainty, begging the notion: whose universe is this anyway? Here in the Dessert of the Real, where virtual calendar notes swirl- entwined with the incremental quickening toward The Singularity- and fade to khaki like a merciful goblet of life affirming coffee. All that remains is to pull a healthy gulp, thank the collective gods- just in case they’re viewing this feed- and steel ourselves for another day in the sauce pan. Alas, getting by is still the new kicking ass.

This week’s FREE in-store tasting finds our importer friend, John, bringing his winemaker friend from a fairly fascinating CA label who primarily farms tiny private plots in NorCal to produce a number of micro cuvées of very serious juice. Many of you have enjoyed the Accenti Merlot ’21 sourced from the famed Bedrock Vineyard that we’ve carried for some time, but we also just picked up a delicious single vineyard Carignan and a crazy rosé-ish wine that defies categorization, having been created through fermented white grape juice (Verdelho) resting on the skins of red grapes (Merlot). Aside from the quality of intent and execution, Accenti bottles wear striking labels, make excellent gifts, and are well worthy of your palate’s time.
