Howdy Free Rangers,
And welcome to a very special episode. This is space currently occupied by a void left in the wake of the recently redacted paragraph that once was, but poof, like Keyser Soze, it’s gone. Perhaps a little too raw for moment. Exhaustion will exert itself on every synapse given the latitude. And it is also at least as responsible as I for the lateness of this very note, which should have graced your inbox on Monday (maybe Sunday). But in the moment of this particular microcosm the holiday quickening is upon us, and feasting and gifting season seems to be well underway, if not yet quite in top gear. Friends new and old have been trusting us with meal pairings, cocktail building, and personal unwinding bottles of all shapes and sizes, so it seemed appropriate to get in early on that whole gratefulness thing. Likely back toward existential dread next week based on said redacted paragraph, so let’s grip the moral victories where we can. We’re working on the usual Top Picks for Turkey Day table in the shop, and some kind of online 6-pack(s) sale is forming as I type. For more on that, stay tuned to this space.
For those of you who missed out, and/or would like to re-up, we’ve left live the best price(s) of the year on one of our long time holiday staples, Volpaia Chianti Riserva 2020. One simply can’t go wrong with a nice Chianti, and this is one of the nicest of which we are aware. Click below for our ONLINE ONLY prices at 10% off, or 20% off 3+ bottles:

NEWSFLASH: This week’s FREE in-store tasting is TODAY, Wednesday instead of our usual Thursday. Last week, we tasted three Northern Rhone wines by Gilles Robin (Crozes-Heritage) with our distributor buddy, Myles. Apparently we weren’t the only ones impressed, and by the time we ordered, the boldest and rarest of the bunch was already sold out. So we grabbed an extra couple cases of our current favorite bang for the buck bold Southern Rhone red to add to this week’s tasting. So, please join us this evening, Wednesday, November 20th (5-7pm) for FREE tastes of Gilles Robin Les Marelles 2023, a beautifully balanced versatile white blend of texture and intrigue, and Gilles Robin Crozes-Hermitage Papillon 2023, a bright and fresh red of vibrant fruit that can be served chilled or at room temp; alongside Santa Duc Vacqueyras Les Aubes 2022, a deep red that could easily be snuck into a blind tasting of classic Rhone reds 2 or 3 times the price. Whether or not you can make it to the tasting, the wines are available at 10% off only on the website all week:
