Hello Free Rangers,
The wash of jungle climate weeks, here in steamy subtropical Brooklyn, obscures all traditional indicators of reality at street level, here in our little corner of the world. If not for the persistence of our furry four-(occasionally 3)legged friends, and return of a few others from finer pastures than these eyes have seen of late, time might cease entirely to function in its linear drone toward eternity, or the singularity, depending on your viewpoint. While we’re yet to cross the Labor Day rubicon, the collective yearning for the next phase of the year, and its inexorable quickening toward the first of next year is palpable. Though it is odd hearing people wax aggressive about autumn in action when the forecast (for whatever it’s worth) shows us in and out of the 80’s this week. My blood is too thick for this climate. Regardless of outside factors, we will be here for all of you who are still here with us. And as always, thanks for reading! And for those who’ve unsubscribed over the last few weeks, you’re always welcome back, even if you’re behind the curve of the arc of history.
