It’s a spirited week here on the Range. This Wednesday marks the completion of our 13th year in business, here at the corner of Atlantic & Hoyt in scenic downtown Boerum Hill, Brooklyn. Of course, our first 8 months were spent cramped into the tiny space that is now the barber shop, after I bought the lease and liquor license for next to nothing from a crazy person who had driven her weird little shop into the ground (and had stolen from a number of perfectly nice local suppliers). So, we opened our weird little shop there. Shortly after, Free Range Wine & Spirits moved down to 329 Atlantic Ave, where we shared a wall with our friends at Absolute Coffee for about a decade. What was that 2, 3, 4 years ago now? I’m shite at math, especially in this post-time era, since morbid circumstance forever shattered the local branch of the space time continuum somewhere mid-2020. And while nobody was looking, someone may or may not have brought down the Central Finite Curve. And if you believe Neil deGrasse Tyson- which we generally do- we may be living in the belly of a black hole, which apparently doesn’t really matter if you’re a generational intellectual giant, but might spark a B minor existential crisis if you live at my house. But any day you can walk away from is a good one, and if you’re here reading this with us, then we all currently qualify. Cheers to existence! Not so much to the a-hole whose car alarm is currently crying itself out in front of the shop. It’s always something out here at street level. But we’ve got a few fairly special sales coming up to celebrate the aforementioned anniversary, beginning with this one here.
