Sorry for the late note this week, it’s been a _____ one (wrong answers only (which are likely all to be factually accurate)). I could spend the next 6 weeks’ e-mails on just the week before the hand chomp (and the next six on the banality of insult and injury since), though trying to limit the volume of toxic tea, consecutively anyway. But I’m grabbing a late brunch sandwich at Big Tiny (last Saturday), good coffee, holy cr@p I love coffee. Ya know, it could be worse.
Sometimes the words cascade. Sometimes they hiss out undetectably while thinking about something else. Sometimes you run scales until a melody finds itself. Sometimes you take your shot and miss. Sometimes the metaphor is like a simile. Sometimes I feel like I don’t have a partner. Sometimes I feel like my only friend is the city I live in, the city is Brooklyn. Lonely as I am, together we cry. Sometimes there’s a fine line between plagiarism and homage. Sometimes greatness is thrust upon you while you’re in the bathroom. Sometimes you can’t remember what your point was. Sometimes it matters less where you’ve been than where you’re going. Hey, look over there —->.
Now, we’ve got a double in-store tasting this week. No, that’s inaccurate. There’s just a second, besides the regular Thursday, of which you most certainly should be aware at this point. Regardless, the bonus one being with proprietor and winemaker at Accenti Wines, James Allen, who you will want to meet.

This endeavor is a real mom and pop shop, and pop will be here to tell you about it. Oh yeah, and the sale of sales rolls on. Usually here you’d find a list of greatest hits that have just been added as I never sent the list to Derek. It was tempting to blame Derek as he’s not here to defend himself, but I’ve gotten used to taking the flak around here (also, it was entirely my fault). Currently going though a box of Knob, Basil Hayden, and Baker’s Bourbon of various age statements. Will get to those next, along with another handful of cellar selections, all of which will be added here over the next week on our ever expanding Sale of sales! So much stuff going on in there.
