| Hey There Free Rangers, How’s everybody holding up? Congrats to those of you who’ve made it through a dry January! It’s always worth celebrating a goal set and achieved. My own latest success was to create a prompt and set a newsletter in motion, after scrapping another three intros. Baby steps and all, but truth be told, I’m not entirely sure where I’m going with this. Life’s a journey. As many of you already know, there are major moves underfoot here on The Range, and these days it’s a lot like having two full-time jobs. And the e-mails that just came in as I type mean that I have to stop what I’m doing to immediately check in with several bureaucratic entities which need to be prodded just to maintain their glacial pace, and stunning propensity for unforced errors. So, I’m going to step outside for a moment, scream into the heavens, and attempt to grow the composure to explain the situation more clearly, at a consistent volume, with minimal profanity, to those that need to hear it. More on these ambiguous developments soon. Promise. And now, this: So, back when Del Maguey sold to Pernod Ricard, prices were raised, and the label went from Winebow (a wine predominant distributor with whom we have a long and storied relationship) to Southern (a soulless succubus of a monster distributor who cares for nothing save the bottom line) and we went looking for a new line of Mezcals to favor as our primary non-tequila agave(s). Every actual Mexican we asked, as well as every local bartended, and most especially a small handful of Mexican bartenders almost unanimously suggest that we look at (and taste) Amaras Mezcals. As we soon learned, they bottle a double smoked Espadin, Verde Mezcal, that competes extremely favorably with Del Maguey Vida (aka it’s less expensive and shows better), and their line above represents some of the most delicious mezcals we’ve ever encountered. As an added bit of fun, that intro level expression is an artist series and every label in the box is different, which is great for intrigue, but puts a crimp on brand loyalty via recognizability. We now carry a significant portion of the line of Amaras Mezcals, and since the Verde Mezcal, Amaras Espadin, Amaras Espadin Reposado (barrel aged), and Amaras Cupreata are all available in 200ml bottles as well as full-sized, so we’ll start off this sale with a set of all 4. All 750ml (and 700ml) Amaras Mezcals are also significantly discounted below. Click on the bottles on the sale page to see full descriptions. These are our lowest prices of the year for these items, guaranteed! Happy hunting! (!)
