Hey Free Rangers,

A bit behind on the correspondence this week, sorry about that. Generally, we’re profoundly lucky to enjoy the neighborhood and the customers that we do. But sometimes the universe lines up a series of aberrations just to ruin one’s day(s), and some of the most dismissively condescending people ever to grace our fair shop have traipsed through here this week, leaving a trail of lowered souls and the sulphuric stench of certainty all the way to the door. One such tale was to precede this week’s in-store tasting info and online only sale, but two particularly deadpan awful creeps have entwined in the amygdala, and need to be properly sorted to re-reveal themselves, whence they be purged into paragraphs. Stay tuned for those stories on the 19th and 26th, if I don’t screw up the schedule again. As for the thing of it all, whatever you are doing and/or need to do to steel yourself for the average day in the face of endless swirling tumult, well, no judgment. I find animal rescue videos to help. … What were we talking about?

So, being behind as we are here and now, the in-store tasting that is tomorrow welcomes back to the shop our friend, Alex from Brooklyn’s own Fort Hamilton Distillery, with his core line of tasty local spirits, and a brand spankin’ new Cucumber Vodka that we are also exited to taste. So, TOMORROW, Thursday, May 15th (5-7pm), please join us for FREE tastes of Fort Hamilton Gin, Vodka(s), Bourbon, and Rye! As always, all tasting day bottles are 10% off, in-store on tasting day only!

Also, we’ve got this Sale of sales thing on, but it doesn’t really have its own page. We just posted a bunch of deep discounts on a wide variety of bottles ONLINE ONLY, in a bunch of different categories. Highlights include the legendary (and clearly to be long lived) 2019 reds from Paolo Bea, some classic French whites and reds (Simon-Billaud Chablis & Pegau CdP), the latest release Brittan (Oregon) Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, and a pack of recent cellar pulls including K Vintners Syrah(s) from 2012 and 2013. On the spirits side are an array of whiskeys from Buffalo Trace to Whistlepig Old World 12 Year. There’s a little something for everybody, with discounts up to 30% off!
