Another whirlwind of a week here on The Range. I know everybody is well tired of pandemic restrictions, and we can’t thank you enough for helping us through this long looping recovery process. I know it feels like we’re getting close to whatever version of normal is still possible, but a number of states are seeing hospitals overwhelmed and there are still roughly 750 people dying every day from the virus. And depending whose stats you take, the virus is either the leading cause of death in this country, or it is second (or 3rd) only to the scourge(s) of heart disease and cancer. If we could significantly reduce heart disease and cancer deaths by wearing masks in public and social distancing, would there be such a huge political war over those things? Sigh… Unrelated, we have nothing clever to say about today’s date, but we are very glad that New York has ceased arresting people for marijuana use. A tiny step toward social justice is major moral victory these days.
So, while we continue to get negative reviews from people who don’t want to follow pandemic guidelines (and whiskey bros who waste our time [stop asking which Pappy we have, we both know you’re not going to buy them!]), we’re still on our pandemic schedule- for the good of all- which is as follows:
Monday – Thursday: counter service only (no browsing)
Friday – Sunday: in-store shopping (4 customers max, 1 per group when others are waiting)
You’re always welcome to expedite you order online for pick-up or delivery: www.FreeRangeBrooklyn.com.
We’re still recovering (and I’m a little fried, honestly) from the latest Magical Mystery offer, and thanks again for the interest in that one, and the tidal wave of orders that followed. We hope you all enjoy exploring through those packs. Please let us know if you have any questions about any of those bottles.
It’s becoming exceeding difficult to keep up with the pace and depth of our weekly sales, to which Plague Year had us all accustomed. So, this week, we’re going in a different direction entirely to offer variety and value, and it’s based on an old friend of mine who was always of the belief that anything that was good was inherently great in mini form. This week only we’re offering a variety pack of some of our favorite bite-sized products, most of which are local. The entire collection is pictured below, but here’s what you get: 1 can Maris Rosé. 1 can each of our favorite Pinot Noir and Chard available in this format, by Primary Wine Co. 1 can each Greenhook Gin & Tonic and St. Agrestis Spritz, two local producers we’ve championed for some time. 1 flask (200ml) of Amaras Verde Mezcal, our go-to baseline smokey agave spirit. 1 flask (200ml) Ironweed Rye Whiskey, from upstate NY. And 1 each 50ml bottles of St. Agrestis Amaro, Rattlesnake Rosie’s Apple Pie Whiskey (local and naturally flavored), New Riff Bourbon, and Moto Jabuka (across between rice whiskey and a light apple brandy). Want to try a fistful of our favorite cocktails in bite-sized packages?
