| Que Pasa Free Rangers, So much exciting stuff rolling through the door- and emerging from the depths of the cellar- that we have no choice but to get right after it! Our favorite grab ’n’ go single serving wine, Mad Med Cans, are back, and they’ve brought their friends. After a successful first vintage, this southern French sustainable project added pink options, still and sparkling: Le Rosé and La Bulle. All Mad Med wines are made naturally with only indigenous yeasts, unfined, and unfiltered. If you’d like to invest in your summer happiness, check out quantity discounts below! La Bulle is a light and crisp sparkling rosé made from a blend of classic Provence grapes for that peachy and floral flavor profile. Unlike its bubbly counterpart, Le Rosé has a notable citrus-y brightness and lightly tart finish. L’Orange is an orange (skin contact white) from 100% Vermentino of texture and character; a robust yet refreshing wine. Le Rouge is a highly chill-able, lighter style red, showing ripe strawberry and a fresh dry finish. As always these sales are ONLINE ONLY! (!) If you’ve heard about tension in wine, and not understood the notion, the following five bottles constitute a required prerequisite course in the concept. These are wines of notable depth and character, all of which are likely to reward some bottle aging. It’s not often we taste something and immediately ask, “how much do you have?” But this was the case down the entire sheet of Jerome Fornerot wines from tiny parcels of old vines in Santenay and St. Aubin. We weren’t the only ones. Our buddy Elan was excited about showing these wines even before having to cancel 3 days of tasting appointments, as we day 1 folks cleaned out the limited supply. Jerome Fornerot Bourgogne Blanc 2021 is from small parcels in Santenay and St. Aubin, is vinified with minimal intervention, and finished in neutral wood. The resulting juice shows impressively defined acidity for an intro level bottling. Jerome Fornerot Santenay Blanc Les Charrons 2021 announces its presence with punchy acidity, but not at the expense of depth, length, or definition; limestone laden citrus for days. 10% new oak adds a hint of richness. This is a white to pair with richer, more decadent food stuffs, or stash away on the bottom shelf of your fridge. Jerome Fornerot Saint Aubin Blanc 1er La Chateniere 2021 is from a tiny plot of 100 year old vines whose juice sees 25% new wood, resulting in a deeply aromatic orange blossom nose and the most elegant palate of the line. If I were tasting this blind, told only that it is Premier Cru white burgundy, I would guess several, if not many times this price. Jerome Fornerot Santenay Rouge Charmes 2020 is from vines up to 70 years old, and results in a deep red Pinot of classic Burgundian fruit/earth balance, dark dry fruit and a deceptively long finish. Jerome Fornerot Santenay Rouge 1er Beauregard 2020 is about as structured, dark, and complex as Pinot Noir gets. This Premier Cru juice starts where Charmes leaves off. A broader mid-palate opens into a subtly brambly abyss, showing the tannic structure to profoundly reward at least 5-7 years in bottle, while the intoxicating aromatics make it difficult to resist today. Very little to go around! All Jerome Fornerot wines are 10% off or 20% off 6+ bottles! As always these sales are ONLINE ONLY! (!) CLICK here for WINE sale page (!) Well, Free Rangers, we did it. Our still evolving biggest freakin’ whiskey sale in our little history finally overloaded the capacity of what one of those landing pages can handle.
