Cayuse Red Blend Flying Pig Red Blend 2001

"A blend of 45% cabernet franc, 45% cabernet sauvignon and 10% merlot; winemaker Christophe Baron apparently once said he would only vinify merlot "when pigs fly") Dark red. Smoky raspberry and bitter chocolate on the nose, along with a slightly vegetal suggestion of rhubarb. Offers good thickness and a rather sophisticated texture, but the note of greenness carries through on the palate. Finishes with ripe, easy tannins and attractive sweetness."
