Domaine Joseph Dorbon Arbois Cuvee des Moyne 2017

From the Distributor: From a single parcel of 40- to 70-year-old vines, this is 80% Chardonnay and 20% Savagnin. The grapes are co-fermented, and the wine spends 30 to 36 months sous voile. Dense and resinous with the strong acidity to carry that weight.
Although Joseph Dorbon has been producing wine since the '90s, they weren't imported until 2016, when the Rosenthal team was introduced to the domaine by friend and neighbor Michel Gahier. He is dedicated to traditional Jura grapes and techniques, and his farming & viticultural practices are as low-impact as possible. He farms just three hectares, and like many other fine Jura winemakers, he favors long-aging before releasing his distinct cuvées.
