Dark red. Deep, smoky nose shows more power than the Nysa and Canary Hills wines. Blackberry and cherry on the nose and palate, joined in the mouth by bitter chocolate and licorice nuances. Became sweeter and more red-fruity with air. Finishes chewy and persistent, in need of some bottle aging.
