Kilkerran Heavily Peated Campbeltown Single Malt Batch 8

The eighth edition of the heavily peated single malt from Campbeltown’s Glengyle Distillery is aged in a combination of ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks before bottling without chill filtration or color added at a cask strength of 116.8 proof.  Nosing reveals scents of citrus, baked apple, vanilla, and peat smoke.  The palate follows the nose with flavors of apple pie, salted caramel, and salted caramel.  The finish lingers with woody oak, grilled fruit, and sweet smoke.
