| Hey Free Rangers, A little brimstone-y out there these days, Brooklyn, no? Anywhoo, I’ve got content for two e-mails on the desktop, though neither is ready to go truth be told. But since there is something of news that is reasonably positive, and both former topics are at least medium+ dark, here’s the good news. Well, silver lining-y news, at the very least. So, minutes after concluding a fairly bleak call with the same liquor lawyer who was integral in the foundation of this very shop, we received word that the State Liquor Authority finally acknowledge receipt of our Neighborhood Removal application. Sure we submitted said app first week in March, and they cashed our check two months ago, but as of yesterday afternoon our request to move the liquor license to the new space is finally in the system. It’s still a waiting game of uncertain duration culminating in a coin toss, in a vacuum. So many other items have been on hold over this, most decisively the location of the front door, which will globally effect the interior design and build. Our world is still a wormhole of fractalized if/then statements, which is barely tenable even in the ether of theory, let alone out here in the Desert of the Real. So, who else needs a drink? First (after the other thing above), we’ve left live the crazy single serving wine and cocktail deal from last e-mail, which comes to just over 5 bucks per item for 16 of the best grab ’n’ go cans and bottles of which we are aware. On that same sale page, you’ll also now find the other end of alternative wine packaging: fine Bordeaux in 3L bag-in-box. For those of you unfamiliar with Wineberry boxes, they contain the quantity of 4 bottles in one eco-friendly vessel. After opening, the juice is good for at least two weeks (longer under refrigeration). Chateau Tassin is a classic white Bordeaux blend of Sauv Blanc and Semilion, showing bright pineapple-y acidity, and is equally as comfortable with or without food. Ch. Moulin de la Roquille is a medium+ bodied Cab Sauv based blend, showing solidly structured red fruit, and balanced tannins. This is a high quality utility red, serve lightly chilled or at room temp. This week all of the above are available at our lowest price of the year. (!)
