It’s All Happening Free Rangers,
The Great Infrastructure in conjunction with the Chamber of Commerce has declared it autumn, regardless of the 80+ degree temps that leave moist wrist prints on the godforsaken contraption upon which I currently type, tipping proverbial cap at the brooding reality that we’ve broken the weather. Overwhelmed by the undulating streams of story and the wholly encompassing blunting heat that blankets down upon exiting the 67° shade of 345. Regardless of the frequency (and ferocity) of synapse, the whole damn thing plows forth around and through us toward the wash of Q4 question marks, more plentiful and varied than usual. We shall see.
Double FREE in-store tasting(s) this week, and the tasting season is starting out with a ________ (wrong answers only)!
Now, what we’ve gone through over the last three or four years to get this single barrel of Buffalo Trace should be criminal, and since the rules have apparently all changed, it’s damned possible that this will be our last. As this is also the first barrel we’ve ever accepted that we didn’t get to taste and select in advance, we were pleasantly surprised with its first showing, and with the age statement. Full specs for this delicious unique 9 year Buffalo Trace Bourbon can be found on the sale page below, but given the age and stave finish, it seems likely to be an orphaned barrel from the vast experimental lot(s), which we are proud to have adopted. Though a bunch of you have tasted with us already, here’s the open invite to all to join us TOMORROW, Wednesday, September 3rd (5-7pm) for FREE tastes of Buffalo Trace Free Range Single Barrel Bourbon 9yr. On the shelf at $55, online all week at $45/btl, or 3+ @ $39/btl! Check it out here:

And then the very next day, we’ll be showing (at least) three wines by our buddy, Scott Sampler– natural wine maker out of Santa Barbara, CA, from his Scotty Boy, L’Arge d’Oor, and Central Coast Group Project lines. Please join us (again) on Thursday, September 4th (5-7pm), for FREE tastes of:
Scotty Boy Klongbursts & Fizz Fuzz 2022 which plays a bit like a fresh, dry, earthy cranberry (lightly boozy) soda. Unusual, but versatile.
L’Arge d’Oor Grenache 2018 a perennial fav chilable red for many moons (dozens anyway) around here. Highly crushable with or without foodstuffs.
That Obscure Object of Desire Viognier 2014 deep, but not shy about it… is zippy but complex a thing? Sure it is. Just wrote it down. We’re all just making shit up, some of us have just tasted more shit (and made more shit up).
All of the above are (at least) 10% off, in-store on tasting day only!
Oh damn, and this is the very last week for Sale of Sales which includes the best price(s) in town (and/or on Earth!) on many wines & whiskeys. If you don’t pick your cherries by the end of the week, I don’t want to hear about which price you missed on what.
