Gotta Be Honest Free Rangers,
I have no idea where I’m going with this, or really where we are right now. It is certain however that the collective trauma of the first three waves of the pandemic have congealed to the bottom of modern existence, likely never to fully dissipate, and something that those of us who survived will never entirely scrape off our shoes. Since March of 2020, it’s been a series of rogue waves. With no discernible pattern or warnings, we’ve becomes largely numb to the crashes and undefinable amorphous tumult which have become the primary language underlying our operating system. And now with the imminent election looming, the collective energy is simmering just below flashpoint, and the vast majority of us seem on edge (with a much smaller percentage blissfully turned off). This feels like the longest year of my life, and yet I blinked in January and find us all here now. With what’s left of democracy hanging in the balance, the average citizen is strung 2 or 3 psi south of rupture, and this frayed machine is no different. Most recent days, I’ve felt a primordial calling to scream into the heavens until someone or something calls back, but given the setting it would more likely end in confrontation and legendary level street fight. But I’m trying, Ringo, I’m trying real hard to be the shepherd.
Now, at some point over the last half decade, I’ve become somebody’s grandma. All I ever want to drink is expensive chardonnay. As such the shop is way overrepresented in these, and many are nearing the end of our inventory. So, without further ado, here’s a 6-pack of our favorite chards of the year at a serious discount. Here you’ll find 3 delicious and varied Oregon Chards (two with a bit of bottle age), 2 very serious classic white Burgundies, and 1 stunning outlier (well on its way to being a classic) from Patagonia, and the hands of Jean-Marc Roulot. This pack contains juice by no fewer than 3 of my very favorite living winemakers, and the quality per dollar here is off the charts at the posted sale price. You will also however find that there aren’t many left. Check that deal, and descriptions of each here:

And this week’s FREE in-store tasting is WEDNESDAY instead of Thursday (due to All Hallows’ Eve). This round we welcome back to the shop, Barr Hill (Caledonia Spirits) of Vermont. We are big fans of these delicious honey-based Vodka and Gin(s). These delicious (mostly) clear spirits are distilled from raw honey in Montpelier, VT. As such, there is a depth and a richness present that one doesn’t often find in most vodka and/or gin, and are highly worthy of your palate’s time. This Wednesday, October 30th (5-7pm), please join us at the shop and enjoy FREE tastes of Barr Hill Vodka, Barr Hill Gin, and Barr Hill Tom Cat barrel aged gin!
Plus: 10% off all Barr Hill bottles in-store on tasting day, and available on the website this week only:
