At a loss here Free Rangers,
Yeah, even me. The sea of stories swirls on indefinitely, infinitely, yet modern reality is off the rails to the point of long eclipsing the intent and weight of fine fiction, but with no moral or intelligible purpose between here and the horizon. I’m not sure we have a word for this scenario, but the Germans have seventeen variations on the theme (Fuhcteschizen?). In all seriousness, it doesn’t seem far off that the first American citizen will be disappeared to a nightmare Salvadorian prison for saying the “wrong” thing in public, or defending the “wrong” downtrodden (likely brown) people. Of this we are sure: so long as the sun rises in the east and sets in the west, we will be here to ease the burden of modern tumult (temporarily) with the most delicious intoxicants we can acquire.
Speaking of which, this week’s FREE in-store tasting welcomes back to the shop the lovely Italian style liqueurs of Brooklyn’s own Faccia Brutto. These fine folks are turning out so many variations on their theme(s) that we can barely keep up. We currently stock- and will be showing- 5 of them, in two sizes. Now, over the years, we’ve been asked so many things that have long been in the cards, but have never come to fruition, most notably and regularly wine of the month type programs. So here’s your open call for a taylor made subscription series of your own creation! Seriously, rather than a trial and error kind of roll-out, we figured we’d just ask directly what works best for you! And then we may very well make your personal wine club available to all.
Start with a 3-pack, 6-pack, or 12-bottle case, pick your time frame (once per week, every other week, or once per month?!), and the rest is up to you. Newest arrivals? Top picks of $30 and under? Best of cellar selections? Reds only? White (conventional and/or skin contact) prevalent? Make something up, and see what we can do! ***All 3 and 6-packs will be discounted (at least) 10% and 12-packs are (at least) 20% off.
