As most of you know, I’m a full disclosure, wear it on my shirt sleeve kind of guy. It’s been a tumultuous couple of years, we’re officially into the final year of our decade lease, and I wanted to take a minute to thank all of you who have supported us. You are quite literally the reason we’re still here. And to those of you who read these e-mails even if you don’t live close enough to shop here, you are the reason I am still here. We aren’t going anywhere just yet, and we do have an option for another 5 years at the same rate on that lease, but we are exploring all options for what comes next. Having forfeited our 7th and 8th anniversary celebrations to a pandemic that didn’t have to be that bad, we’re still a little shell shocked and not quite ready to host events here in the shop, but the anniversary won’t go entirely un-toasted.

For my Bourbon dollar, I don’t think there exists greater value per quality than in the Elijah Craig line. Our new barrel hails from the 7th floor of Warehouse HH and its juice is spicy and bold by the standards of the classic Small Batch. Even though it’s the same 94 proof as all the other Elijah Craig Small Batch and Private Barrels, you may find yourself adding an extra splash of water to open the aromatics and soften the palate. We’re pretty proud of this one.
