It was a really good weekend here on the Range. Almost a decade into this little experiment we have almost zero ability to predict the ebbs and flows. There are greater patterns that have emerged, but more than 2 years of novel confounding variables to the power of unprecedented experience, very few of this those cyclical factors carry any real sway anymore. Holidays and their respective weekends have been a total craps shoot, and this was the first one to catch us off guard- in a good way- in longer than I can remember. The numbers were solid, but the people (and parade of doggie friends) were top notch! Even the first timers from out of town were treating us kindly, engaging, inquisitive, helping us help them. I don’t want to jinx this week by enjoying it too much, but these notes have been dark enough for a long enough period that I wanted to share with all of you the largely heartwarming vibes we’ve recently enjoyed.
