Bergstrom Gargantua 2016

After 18 intense years of solely focusing on world-class Pinot Noir and Chardonnay in Oregon’s Willamette Valley, gargantua is  Bergström Wines' effort to craft world class Syrah from the West Coast of the United States.

For the winemaker: An iron-rich expression with remarkable retention of whole-cluster spice. Enticing aromas of violets, woodsmoke, crushed rock, black olives, rhubarb, fennel, and a touch of honey sweetness. The palate is rich and savory, yet remarkably fresh, with an epic concentration of mesquite, beef jerky, espresso, and black currant. Medium-bodied with smooth tannins, balanced acidity, and a layered depth of flavor and texture, this wine offers a truly captivating experience.
